Notebook, ca.1836, of an unknown attorney, concerning a lawsuit over land in Mobile Co., Ala. At the center of the dispute was the contention that "the property described in the deed from Wm. E. Kennedy to Joshua Kennedy dated Decr. 13th 1824 was the property in whole or part of W.E. Kennedy." In the notebook the attorney details and describes documentary evidence, parole evidence, complainants evidence, complainants witnesses, exhibits and papers, defendants evidence, defendants witnesses, notes taken on witnesses testimony, and depositions. The evidence covers the years at least from 1798 to 1835.
